A wrist rest is not a cushion. Its job is to stop the hand bending backwards at the wrist — the position physiotherapists call extension, and the one that gets uncomfortable somewhere around hour six of a working day or a long session. A rest that is too soft lets the wrist sink and reproduces exactly the angle you were trying to avoid; a rest that is too high pushes the hand up and creates the same problem in the other direction.

The mouse hand is the one that suffers. A keyboard wrist rest stays put because the keyboard stays put. The mouse hand travels, and a fixed rest only helps while the mouse happens to be sitting on it. That is why our wrist rest is the other kind: it straps to the wrist and moves with the hand.

How the G-Series works. A shaped silicone support sits under the heel of the hand and holds the wrist level with the mouse. Underneath, PTFE glide pads — the same material as the skates on a competition mouse — let it slide across the mat with almost no friction, so the support follows every movement instead of dragging behind it. A breathable silicone strap keeps it in place through fast, wide sweeps, and vents in the body let air through where a foam block would trap heat.

Silicone rather than foam or gel. Foam sags and holds warmth; gel feels good for the first minutes and then displaces under sustained pressure. Silicone keeps its shape for the length of a session and wipes clean.

Two sizes, six colours. Pick the size by hand width, the colour by the rest of the desk: black, white, grey, blue, orange or pink.

Not a medical device. We are careful about this. A wrist rest changes the angle of your hand; it does not treat anything. If you have pain — not fatigue, pain — that persists away from the desk, that is a question for a doctor, and no accessory is the answer.

Frequently asked questions

Is this a keyboard wrist rest?
No — it is a mouse wrist rest. It straps to the wrist and slides with the hand on PTFE pads, so the support is there wherever the mouse goes. A keyboard rest is a fixed bar; this is the moving kind.

Does it work on any mouse pad?
Yes. The PTFE pads glide on cloth, felt and PU leather alike. On a very rough or bare desk surface the glide is slower, which is one more reason to put it on a mat.

Silicone, foam or gel?
Silicone. Foam sags and traps heat; gel displaces under sustained pressure and goes flat within minutes. Silicone holds its shape for a whole session, breathes through the vents and wipes clean.

Will a wrist rest fix wrist pain?
It is not a medical device and we will not claim it is. It changes the angle of your hand, which addresses fatigue from a bent-back wrist. Pain that persists away from the desk is a question for a doctor.

Frequently asked questions — Wrist Rests

1 design in this collection. Printed to order, free shipping with no minimum.

Which desk mat size should I choose?

Three simple reference points: M (11.8×9.8 in) for a crowded desk or office work, L (17.7×15.7 in) for gaming at medium sensitivity, XXL / desk mat (31.5×11.8 to 35.4×15.7 in) to put keyboard and mouse on the same surface. Below 400 DPI, XXL is the only format that leaves enough travel for a full half-turn without lifting the mouse. The size guide walks you through the three measurements.

How thick should a desk mat be?

2 mm: discreet, very direct glide, ideal if the desk is already perfectly flat. 3–4 mm: the best compromise, cushions the wrist without feeling soft. 5 mm and up: smooths out an uneven desk and reduces fatigue over long sessions.

Do these mats work with optical and laser mice?

Yes. The surface is a micro-textured textile read accurately by optical and laser sensors alike, up to high resolutions. The non-slip natural rubber base keeps the mat from moving during sudden movements.

How do I clean a desk mat?

Soft sponge, lukewarm water, a little soap, then dry flat in the open air. No washing machine and no tumble dryer: heat warps the rubber base. The print is dyed into the fibre, so it does not rub off. The full cleaning guide.

Can I have my own artwork printed?

Yes, through the custom mouse pad range: upload your high-definition image and it is printed on the format of your choice. A dedicated range exists for businesses (logo, brand colours, bulk orders). For a full desk, see the custom desk pads.

What about shipping times and costs?

Shipping is free, with no minimum order. Mats are printed to order: allow a few days of production before dispatch — the exact lead time is shown on each product page.
